In
the wake of all the new finer kosher restaurants that are sprouting
up all over Manhattan, people are realizing that kosher food
does not have to be second best. In the spirit of this kosher
revolution the Ginger Grill aspires to prove that quality kosher
food does not have to be expensive either. In a simple but comfortable
atmosphere, high quality continental food with an Asian flair
is served with great pride.
After
working together in both Szechuan Garden as well as in Gan Asia,
Jeff Kabak has teamed up with Chef Hui Hsien Chow to bring to
Riverdale a place of quality and simple charm which diners can
enjoy a well prepared meal which is elaborately prepared with
out being cost prohibitive.
Chef
Chow will continue to prepare some of the highly regarded Chinese
specialties as well as adding some spice and panache to a variety
of more commonly appreciated simple entrees that appear on most
New York menus.
Jeff
worked in most of the Riverdale eateries including Szechuan
Garden where he learned about Chinese food. He then moved on
to Start a Thai and Chinese take out on the Upper West Side.
Chef Chow has worked in various restaurants from Hong Kong to
Tai Pei. He brings with him a great deal of experience. Together
they hope to blend eastern style with western tastes and create
a new experience for its customers.
